DELICIOUS MEALS THE MAGGI WAY

When I was working in Lebanon as a domestic helper, I find it difficult from the start. But since cooking is still part of my work as a domestic helper, I used maggi as my food seasoning. And my employer find out that it taste deliciously. Lebanese foods were so simple to cook and yet its full of protien and non cholesterol. Here are some of my recipes:

CHICKEN MACCHERONI WITH WHIT SAUCE:

Ingredients:
4 cubes maggi chicken stock, 1x 1.5kg chicken, jointed, 1 pack buitoni penne, 50g butter, 50g plain flour, 3 cups milk, 25g parmesan cheese, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, 1/3 cup swiss cheese, grated.

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350c, dissolve maggi chicken stock, 1 cube in a litre of hot water. Add chicken, cover and cook for 30-35 minutes until chickeb is tender and cut into bite size pieces. Bring 4 litres of water to the boil with maggi chicken stock, 2 cubes. Add buitoni penne and simmer for approximately 10 minutes until cooked "Al Dente". Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan, stir in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring continously. Remove from heat, gradually add milk and maggi chicken stock, 1 cube. Return to heat and cook, stirring until sauce is thickened and smooth. Drain penne and stir in half the sauce. Place a layer of penne in a large ovenproof dish. Cover with chicken and second layer of penne. Finish with remaining white sauce and top with grated Swiss cheese. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately.

Lord Hear Our Prayer

During every morning worship service in a small church I attended, the congregation would share prayer requests. After each one, the pastor would say,"Lord in your mercy," and the people would respond,"Hear our prayer." One Sunday, a 4 year old boy behind me became more intense after each request, until he finally shouted,"Hear our prayer!. The little boy probably expressed that a lot of us were feeling that morning.

Do you love attention?

Years ago I heard an amusing story. A young man stood up in a crowded room and loudly said, "Excuse me, everybody, excuse me! Could I please have your attention?" The noisy chatter stopped and everyone's eyes turned toward him. At that point the young man grinned and said, "Thank you! I just love attention!" Then he sat down.
This story reminds us that while some people love the spotlight, all of us have legitimate needs, and only GOD can be totally.

Christian Life

It is possible to live in our entire Christian lives from the wrong perspective. Believing that we are right, we can be wrong. Thinking we are walking with God, we can be miles away.
Our thoughts control our action; If we want to change the way we act as a Christian, commit it to the Lord and let the Holy Spirit change how we think.
Worrying is something we learned to do when we are yet carnal, but Jesus had purchased us with his Blood and we are nor in the winning side.

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task. Why doesn't God help me? I wondered. He answered, " You didn't ask". I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and black; I wondered why God didn't show me. He said, "But you didn't seek." I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock. God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn't knock". I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day; I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.
