Fruit Of Sacrifice (poem)

life ain't so cruel
it even offers the most precious jewel
for the world's majestic design
is intended to make life fine

but the beauty of the world
has its irony
that even the simplest entity
requires undue agony

indeed, the pangs of pain
do precede the rewards of pleasure
for no one enters the gate of luxury
without battling against the roots of sacrifice

but at the end of the day
persist not shall darkness be
for life offers twilight
to put man's heart in delight
