Ramil is coming!

Typhoon Ramil entered the Philippine area of responsibility Friday night, barely three weeks after one of Southeast Asia’s most destructive storms hit the country.Ramil will be the 18th storm to enter the country this year.
Still battered from the devastation caused by Typhoon Pepeng last week, Benguet province is bracing for more possible destruction from the new tropical storm.Typhoon “Ramil” is expected to make landfall in Cagayan province at noon Thursday and to dump more rain on storm-weary provinces, raising fears of more flooding and landslides. According to the report that this is much stronger than "ondoy and pepeng."
Calling all Filipinos to offer a special prayer to spare the country from further devastation, while thousands of people were evacuated from areas prone to floods and landslides in northern Luzon ahead of the powerful typhoon.
The special prayer also asks for forgiveness for sins against nature with the hope that people have learned their lesson not to abuse the environment.

The destroyer typhoon "Ondoy"

Typhoon Ondoy destroy billion pesos worth of crops and killed, and affecting thousands of families, and according to the report as of this morning there were 32 people still missing. How we can escape when this calamity hit our country? A lot of people need help, they need assistance and calling for everyone a help and prayer. Some people were stuck at their rooftops. Some lost their homes and got separated with their love ones. I can feel how painful it is if we are the victim.
Thanks for our countrymen for their urgent donations and I always watch how our "Sagip Kapamilya" really doing their job, and also the "Kapuso."
In times like this we must come to know that the victims needs our support. Let us realized that we are lucky enough of not experiencing this kind of calamity.

Aquino and the late Benigno Aquino is running in next year presidential election under the Liberal Party. His three sisters and brother in law were all there to show their support for Noynoy's announcement at Club Filipino. This is a big challenge for Noynoy to prove that he is worthy enough or much better than his parent's legacy. I hope he can bring back the true democracy in our country. Go Noynoy!

A fighter woman

Former President Corazon Aquino was a woman of faith, a fighter a source of hope and inspiration not only to her family but to entire nation as well. March 24, 2008, Aquino's family disclosed that she has colon cancer. The entire nation feel sad for her condition and I admit that I was one of them. She was the 11th and the first female President of the Philippines. How can we forget the 1986 election where both Aquino and her opponent, the incumbent and Ferdinand Marcos declared victory. The Filipino rose in protest and Marcos was forced to flee the country. She wave a pro-democracy movements around the world by leading a 1986 "people power" revolt. She's truly an icon of democracy. 111th day of Independence

Today June 12, 2009 marked as the 111th day of Independence here in Philippines. No work, no class today to celebrate freedom. Are we really free? As I understand Independence day is an annual celebration commemorating of independent statehood. Are we really free? We even encourages foreigners to invest here in our country and we even patronizing imported products. To show for being Filipino patronize our own products and use our own language. And we are not completely free because we are not politically free and we are not economically stable. We cannot do anything because don't have capability and some countries control us. Freedom for Filipinos should define what it really means and I also hope that Filipino people will open their eyes to the political unrest which lead to action to the way of genuine independence and the proclamation of independence should be really meaningful!

Table salt is the major factor that cause hypertension, a cardiovascular disease, the "world's number one cause of death." Most people now have an idea that too much salt is bad. Black patches

Dark underarms can be embarrassing especially during summer when you want to wear sleeveless. And minus points to have a black patches or dark armpit.

This is one of my favorite songs, it was such a beautiful song ever 40 years ago and I was only14 years old when this song was totally hit ever in the market. Elton John deliver it completely and he was one of my favorite singer in the country. The last time I heard and see him singing was the candle in the wind during the funeral of Princess Diana, it was a very sad song but it was one of his best songs.

Life is a gift

Life is a constant battle of survival, and as we grow older that rules changes on daily basis. Our mission is not to escape but to survive, not to deal with triumph but to deal with failure, not to run away for fear but to master it. It takes courage to keep on fighting. So if we feel like rules have shifted one step higher, deal it with a greater faith and never ever surrender.
Everything we need is already in our life, merely awaiting our recognition to it. Anything unrecognized remains uncelebrated by us. I thank God for every day when i get up that i have something to do that day which must be done whether i like it or not. Being forced to work and forced to do the best will breed in my temperance ans self-control, diligence and strength of will, cheerfulness and content and a hundred virtues which the idle will never know.
God has a purpose for all that is happening in this world. Be it something good or something bad, He never willed our lives to be hell. So when a turning point is seems so terrible, later we notice that a wonderful thing compensates for the seemingly hopeless incident, Often than not, our lives become better. It was a blessing in disguise after all. Trust Him always because i know He will never let us down.

Goodbye Master Rapper!

Francis Magalona the multi awarded rap icon has passed away at the Medical City around noon today. He was 44 years old. Last August 28 he was diagnosed with leukemia. He was considered as a major pillar rap music in the country. Not only a rapper but also a songwriter and producer.
Everybody in the movie industry mourn for his death. A good husband and a good father of his children, and a good friend too. He's still young to say goodbye in this world! Life is too short they say and it is! Goodbye Francis!

I've learned!

While I typically focus more on how to be the best parent possible, I think it's important not to neglect that a huge part of that is having a strong marriage. Since I was in my grade school my favorite sport is basketball. I was a Purefood fanatic before and until now I'm still a Purefood fanatic but sad to say the team was not active anymore, they lost the amazing power that they have before. I hope next year they can perform well and can able to play for the finals.
I admired Macmac Cardona for his wondrous performance in the journey. He was named the Mighty Bond Final The Most Valuable Player. He got 23 point game with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and one block in 39 minutes of play. The Tropang Texters proved it was the better team win to capture KFC PBA Philippine cup crown cheering crowd last night at Araneta Coliseum and aired live on TV at channel 9. Congratulations Tropang Texters!

Sleep apnea

Several studies have suggested that people with sleep apnea have two to three times as many car accidents, and five to seven times the risk for multiple accidents.

Fret not

The world is now suffering global financial crisis. And I feel sad to those OFW's returning home without any savings. Everybody is worried about this global financial crisis. And some big companies in foreign countries is now closed. Japan is one of the progressive country that we have known but they are not exempted of the crisis. My nephew used to work there for almost 5 years but he's coming home next month because the company that he's working is going to closed. And he's family is very much worried for he is the bread winner of the family.
I know that life is not easy now a days. But if you believed that prayer is powerful then fret not. God is the owner of the universe. Whatever calamities, storms of our life comes we can overcome all those trials. I experienced all kinds of trials in life but still I'm here living normally. I am not worried for tomorrow beacause I know God holds our future. Just pray without ceasing!

Family reunion!

Conflicts among the family is just normal and no one is really perfect. We are six members of the family, 3 boys and 3 girls and we are all married. Since the death of my father i remember the conflict started in our family. And my 2 brothers just reconciled after the death of my mother. I really feel sad at that time that each one is exchanging bad words to each other and it comes to the point that my eldest brother hit my other brother. And i really thank God everything was settled and they are now back at each other arms.
Last December 27, 2008 we have our family reunion in our farm in Darong, davao del sur. How beautiful it is to have a happy family and tears flows down in our cheek remembering those bad days in our life. I hope that this will last and this is the only treasure that we can share to our children " to love one another" and never let your pride ruled in your life because pride always led you to destruction. Great life!

A great life is not about routine but doing something rare. To cherish and not to compare. To forgive and not to blame, to be loving without counting. Laugh at your mistakes nut learn from them. Joke over your troubles but gather strength from them. Have fun with your difficulties but overcome them!

Positive discipline

Speaking of positive discipline, we use the concept of teaching or guiding. Routine is considered as an approach of discipline. If children have routines they don't need to feel to act out. By giving children routine that is the maintaining balance with them. It also gives the children opportunity to establish a sense of independence even as a baby. That way the child knows what to expect: dinner, bath, read, bedtime and let them know that it is good for them. It is very important for the kids to tell what to do rather than what not to do. Always use the positive rather than the negative. Use positive vocabulary. Meeting one's child needs means giving children what they need, not necessarily what they want. That is the goal with positive discipline.

In this fast changing world, natural resources are early diminishing due to man's unsustainable needs. Help our mother earth, conserve our resources!

New year resolution!

Traditionally that every 365 days, we should try to kick bad habits and start our life anew. New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes and resolve to follow those changes.
Everyone think that at least 5 things that they would like to change in their life. Resolve the resolution in specific terms and be realistic in achieving goals. We might have a bad year or maybe not and we just want the new year to be good. Find alternatives to a behavior that we want to change and make this part as pat of our resolution plan. However if the old year treated you, it's always be nice by looking forward by improving ourselves.
