Bill Gates donates $500,000 for RP’s calamity

It is our common knowledge that Bill Gates was the microsoft founder and the world's third richest man in the world. One of the most influential people in the world, and has held the number one position for many years. I am very curious of his personality, overwhelmed of being very genius, so i start surfing about his whereabouts.
Being the richest man in the world he has also enabled to create one of the world's largest charitable foundations. Their aim is to innovating in health and learning to the global community. While i continue surfing i found out that the Philippines received $500,000 for typhoon relief efforts.
According to Michael Frank the United States-based Catholic Relief Services (CRS) the funds is estimated to P22.8 million pesos for energy assistance package for families left homeless and displaced calamity in Panay region and Cotabato City. It was posted in Global nation last Wednesday July 16, 2008 at 10:45 AM Philippine time.
I am just wondering why no news report was made to the public. I smell something fishy again! We must be thankful to the other nations helping us in times like this and let's face it, that this government is really corrupt! Nobody know's if the funds was really use in relief efforts or it was now in the good hands of our government officials. What a shame!
