Pro-poor Human Rights Project

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is starting to build a Pro-poor Human Rights Initiative that is A Justice for the Poor Project (AJPP), where the training curricula of Police and Public Safety Officers being a part of their campaign to reach all the law enforcers regarding their responsibilities as a public servants.

The project is among the ongoing initiatives being undertaken by the Department to make our law enforcers more aware of the rights of our disadvantaged sectors and how they can better shield the poor especially the women and children from injustice.

And The Local Government Academy, the DILG is helping to train the village-level information providers to give education to the poor as well as justice system. And this is a big help for the poor and I hope this is not only the beginning nor the end in helping poor people.
